To further increase the quality of our ship agency services, our ship agents Petter Alfredsson and Erik Götheus have started The Institute of Chartered Shipbrokers (ICS) –training for ship agents administrated by Swedish Shipbrokers’ Association. The course will include a lot of self-studying as well as final exam.
Diploma studies have been divided to two levels; founding and advanced. As Erik holds Master Mariner degree, he will pursue for an advanced diploma while Petter will study for a founding diploma.
“We want to invest in our employees, and make sure that we have what it takes to meet the demands from our customers”, says Agency Manager Emelie Johansson.
“I see this as a perfect opportunity to improve my skills. Since I started the studies it has become very clear that the content of the courses is well connected to the daily work as a ship agent. To be able to combine both work and studies and develop my own skill set further towards what I do on a daily basis is great”, says Ship Agent Petter Alfredsson.
